Welcome to Lakeside Shelties, we are Mike & Sylvia Dale of Kenai, Alaska.
Our home is located on a lake
about 10 miles outside of Kenai with 7 acres to explore. |

At Lakeside Shelties we proudly offer only the
best quality Shetland Sheepdogs
bred for temperament and
companionship.

|
 |
All of our dogs are home
raised and live with us. We have approximately 1/2 acre fenced as a play yard,
and two - 10 X 12 runs for dogs when in season or separate play yard for puppies
when old enough to go outside. |
| All of these areas are accessible to our home through
doggie doors. While raising five children we were fortunate enough to be
introduced to the Shetland Sheepdog breed by a friend. She later offered
us one of her Shelties that we named Callie. |
 |

|
Callie quickly became our most beloved family pet. That was
17 years ago and we still love shelties as much today as when Callie first
joined our family. After Callie passed away, I spent a lot of time researching
and looking for a Sheltie, I realized that there was a need for a
breeder who produced good quality, well rounded, socialized puppies. |
Before having our family, I had experience in breeding, conformation
and working dog trials with another breed.
|

|
 |
It wasn’t until after our children were grown and gone that I realized
how much I missed it and couldn’t imagine ever having any other than a
sheltie. |
I have been blessed with good friends and mentors who have
helped me achieve that goal and have helped on the path to improving the sheltie
breed.
|
|
We only breed for puppies once or twice a year, but if you are looking
for an outgoing, healthy and beautiful Sheltie look no further.

Hunter
and Bree earn Canine Good Citizen certification
The Kenai Kennel Club held a Canine Good Citizens
certification test in Early December 2010 - Hunter and Bree passed with
flying colors!

Bree has been doing really well in agility training and progressing
fast, although she has taken time out of training to become a first time
mom.
We’ll be back in training in few more weeks and we’re looking forward to
having a great time together.
Hunter has moved into training and competition Rally and is doing
extremely well. He excels at Rally and we love doing it together.
